The National Energy Agency (NEÜ, formerly NFFKÜ) confirms that the first application phase of the Otthoni Energiatároló Program closed on 15 March 2026 at 17:00 and that the second phase – originally scheduled from 16 March to 30 September 2026 – was suspended on 16 March 2026; new or unfinished applications cannot be submitted until the suspension is lifted, and no autumn reopening has been announced.
The third amendment of the call, dated 28 September 2026, keeps the caps at HUF 2.5 million (target area 1: new PV with storage) and HUF 1.8 million (target area 2: storage upgrade of an existing system). Installed storage must be remotely controllable via a standard or manufacturer interface, storage above 2 kWh must be reported to the distribution system operator, a completion notice to the DSO is mandatory in all cases, the advance is paid to the contractor by assignment (100 % of the supported contract value, backed by a bank guarantee), the final payment request is due within 30 days of the final invoice, and the certification request window for applicants with 'megfelelt' status runs from 12 October 2026, 10:00 to 26 February 2027, 16:00. Applicants still marked 'submitted' may be invited later depending on funds.
For installers: only approved projects can proceed – check that the battery offered supports remote control and DSO reporting, and plan installations and invoicing to meet the 26 February 2027 certification deadline.
