The Bundesnetzagentur has published the values for systems commissioned between 1 August and 31 December 2026: 7.70 ct/kWh (up to 10 kWp), 6.66 ct/kWh (10–40 kWp) and 5.44 ct/kWh (40–100 kWp) for surplus feed-in, and 12.22 / 10.24 ct/kWh for full feed-in. These EEG 2023 values apply until 31 December 2026; the successor regime is still in parliamentary deliberation and the 1.5 ct/kWh uplift for systems from 40 kW (Solarpaket I) remains blocked without EU approval.
The government draft (cabinet decision of 29 July 2026) would replace the 20-year fixed tariff for new small systems from 1 January 2027 with a transition payment of at most 36 months (about 5.2 ct/kWh has been reported) followed by direct marketing, plus a general 50 % feed-in cap. The SPD has so far blocked the vote; according to t-online (updated 1 November 2026) the coalition factions are close to a compromise that would add an alternative to third-party direct marketing – a market-value-based payment combined with curtailment in negative-price hours or grid-operator control via smart meter. The Bundestag vote is planned for the second week of November, the Bundesrat is expected on 20 November, and EU approval must follow for a 1 January 2027 start. Without agreement all EEG support models would expire on 1 January without replacement.
For installers: every system registered and connected by 31 December 2026 locks in the current tariff for 20 years – keep selling 2026 commissioning dates and do not quote 2027 rates until the law is published in the Bundesgesetzblatt.
